Yay! I just received a couple kits from Amazon; MS-09 DOM\MS-09R Rick-DOM and MS-06FZ ZakuII FZ. It'll probably be the last kits I get for myself for awhile because the spousal unit is grumbling about me having too many unfinished models.

Remake of Macross Frontier due in Fall of 2009

The Anime News Network reports that a remake of the original Macross Frontier series is due to be released in theaters in the fall of 2009.

Inaugural Gunpla Contest

Our Inaugural Photo Contest is underway and off to a great start.  So far we have six entries.  The deadline is March 27, 2009 so you still have plenty of time to submit your favorite Gundam model!  Just drop by the Inaugural Gundam Contest forum to submit your entry.

Here are the Rules and Judging Criteria:

1. One entry/photo per registered user. We still want to see your other photos so post them in the User's Photo Gallery forum,but to make it simple and fair let's keep it to one photo for the contest
2. Each registered user's Gunpla entry will be judged on three aspects worth 10 points each (Photography, Pose and Paint\Detail) and a Coolness Factor which is worth up to 20 points. If you have a good story line it coul score some points in the Coolness Factor.
   
3. Mods and customizations are allowed but not judged in this contest.
   
4. The registered user that scores the most points will be the winner and will be notified via email of his "Awesome Winningness"! 
   
5. All entries must be received no later than March 27, 2009.
   
6. And I'm banned from winning.

Bandai has launched the Bandai Entertainment Japanese Animation Channel on YouTube's US site and is offering episodes one through five of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion free on the site.

Welcome to Gundam Universe!

I want to welcome everyone dropping by Gundam Universe and especially to everyone who has submitted entries for our first Gunpla Contest. So far we've had a great turn-out for a newly launched Gundam fan site and we've seen some amazing member's Gunplas in action and posing and some beautiful photography!

Anyways, I've added this blog to the site as a way to keep members and guests updated to the plenty of changes going on here on a regular basis!
